So starting June 2025 we will be offering a new piece of the month, with a new piece for every month for 1 year. 15% of the proceeds will be donated to non-kill pet organizations. June 1st We have beautifully hand painted ceramic butterflies that have a hole in the back for hanging on a wall or it could have a magnet attached to put on your refrigerator. My Story
I was first introduced to pottery 1981 when I took a ceramic hand-building class in high school. During that school year, I suffered a tragedy of losing my sister in an automotive accident. I found class to be my happy place and my escape from life. Before the end of the school year, I made a list of everything I would need to have my own pottery studio. I kept that list for many years before I tossed it out due to life getting in the way.
Recently while caring for my elderly WWII Marine vet dad, whom was mostly independent, I decided to take my first wheel throwing class at a local art studio. Three classes later, I signed up for community college level wheel throwing I & II. I was deeply hooked again on pottery! I bought my first kiln and wheel second hand.
I'm a member of International Ceramic Arts Network (ICAN) and subscribe to Ceramics Weekly and Pottery Making Illustrated to keep my skills fresh and unique. I'm loving the journey that clay takes me on! There are so many different directions to choose from which leaves no reason to EVER get bored again.
